Pupils with Special Needs
The education authority has a policy of integration. This promotesthe placement into primary and secondary schools of pupils withsignificant special needs. Additional support may be given to theschool to enable such placements.
Special classes may be attached to some schools. These makeparticular provision for pupils with significant learningdifficulties or emotional and behavioural difficulties. These alsooffer opportunities for integration. Integrated placements orplacements into special classes are made following assessment by theauthority's specialist advisers and in consultation with parents.
Pupils with special needs at St. Margaret's are among thepriorities of our Department of Learning Support Services.
All facilities in our new building are readily accessible by thedisabled.
